Thrifty Book Finds

Goodwill is always a win these days.

Once & Again is a bookstore located outside Atlanta in Roswell.  I have about 50 or so dollars in trade there-- hence the higher dollar amount spent on newer used books.

  1. Great selection! I say this, because I have all of those books with the exception of The Slap (which is on my TBR list). Can't wait to read your thoughts on these. Cheers!

  2. Yes! The Sedaris was a find for a friend. I read Andrea Levy's The Long Song last year and really liked it, so I'm looking forward to Small Island. The Slap has gotten so many mixed reviews- interesting premise, but we'll see.

  4. Oh, I loved The Thirteenth Tale. I finished it in a couple of days and that was stretching it so it wouldn't end! I'll be posting a review soon.

  5. Nice finds! I have Me Talk Pretty One Day sitting on my nightstand. I'm holding it until I feel like I need to read something funny. From what I hear it's hilarious.

  6. I love book hunting in charity shops. One of my favourite ways to spend a Saturday afternoon :)

  7. Brenna- The Sedaris book is rather witty. I got this copy for a friend after selling my copy earlier last year. Definitely save it for a rainy day!

Sam- I have a weakness. I need another bookcase for all the deals I'm bringing home! :)

  8. Beth, I'm right there with ya. I'm thinking the next time I have chance to go to a place like Goodwill, I'll be leaving with a new bookshelf as well as an arm load of new (old) books.
