I stumbled upon this title while scanning my Goodreads updates. Then I began to see it everywhere. Funny how that happens. A Russian winter and magic? Go on, I'm listening. I'm trying to remain ignorant of most of the plot, but I like what I've read so far. Only time will tell.
Death Come to Pemberley
I've been tempted to purchase this one every time I've walked into B&N recently. It's always there, front row, begging to be carried home. And yet... I just haven't. I've also realized that I may have never read Austen's Pride and Prejudice (I'll understand if you decide to abandon my blog at this point/ p.s. isn't this the coolest edition ever?!), which is a must because DCTP is essentially a sequel, but with murder and mystery. My plan is to tackle Pride and Prejudice (which I own) and then buy DCTP. Thoughts?
Last but NOT Least...
Yes, War and Peace is actually apart of this post. Like, I actually want to go out and pick up a copy of W&P and sit and read it. I'll say that this had a lot to do with Brent announcing he was tackling it and me feeling like I should too because I love Tolstoy (or his work anyway). I'm actually really excited at the prospect. I remember sitting down to Anna Karenina... love at first site. I hear that the above photo is a great translation, but I'm open to suggestions.
What books have you been eyeing? Read some of these? Feel free to encourage me!
