The past couple of months have been a whirlwind. To give you an idea: J & I have visited 10 states in four months. Talk about CRAZY. We've visited friends, family and interesting places. I cannot even express my gratefulness for the life I'm living. So... in the midst of driving and flying and hugging and goodbye-ing (had to), we've also been putting our creative hats on and devising plans to lead lives that make us even happier.
J & I have both had lofty goals all of our lives. He may or may not have been in a popular band in his early 20s that had him flying around the country, seeing the sites (I have been sworn to secrecy), but that was then and this is now. We want more than the 9 to 5 and we both want to incorporate travel into the everyday. We toyed around with various endeavors, and are both currently working on creative side projects with the hopes of growth, but ultimately decided to begin our jump from the norm with the creation of our Etsy shop: Scout and Score!, a vintage kitchenware fun house.
I just want to stress that I've been blown away by the amount of support and kind words I've received from the blogging community. I can't express my thanks! Seriously, you guys have really made my week! It's definitely another indication that creating this blog was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I hope everyone has an obnoxiously happy weekend!
How about that beautiful banner!
ReplyDeleteThank you to everyone as well for checking the site out and giving encouragement. It is much appreciated.
And Beth, you HAVE been sworn to secrecy!
Scouts honor!
DeleteThanks & thanks. I've got quite the muse ;)
How fun. I look forward to checking out the Etsy shop (love the logo!) and would love to see a little travel blog too... Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAnne,
DeleteThanks so much! It's a learning process (especially the photoshop skills required for the blog and etc.). Really, thanks, it means a lot!
This is a fantastic idea! I love the banner and the colors. I will be following your Etsy shop as you build it and wish you lots of luck.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are enjoying life so much!
Amy,
DeleteThanks for the kind words! I really have so much to be grateful for and much to strive for and master! I wanted the banner to be playful and fun, like our personalities, and I think the banner was just that! Hope you have a great weekend :)
Phew! I thought you were going to say you weren't going to blog on this blog anymore! Such exciting news! I look forward to following your new adventures too! :)
ReplyDeleteBrie,

Congrats! I've had a nosy round the store and it's all very well selected :)
ReplyDeleteDoing more than the 9-5 is a great ambition to have.
Sam,
DeleteThanks! Yes, I definitely feel like working for myself would really push me to the limits. It's so much hard work, but so rewarding!
