I'm finally ready to share the news I've been holding in for quite some time! Keeping the move quiet was a feat, but this was definitely harder. When I started this blog, I had just started pleasure reading after four years of nothing but academic tomes and xeroxed sheets of paper. Working in this space has done nothing but inspire me and drive me to do more. Around the same time I started Bookworm Meets Bookworm I got my first DSLR. My pictures were pretty terrible in the beginning (like horribly terrible), but I've consumed any learning materials I could get my hands on, taken courses, and thrown myself into the initially awkward task of photographing and conversing with people I really don't know. I've grown more confident and decided to start my own little business and website. It's a side project for now, but who knows what the future holds! So, if you're in the Chicago area and need portraits, or know someone who does, I am totally available starting in September!
