A Vacation in 21 Photos - Massachusetts and Maine

J and I have this goal of seeing all 50 states. We've actually created a bucket list where it sits with others that we hope to accomplish together. So far we've each seen just a smidge over half. At the end of this month, we'll have visited 16 different states this year. I think it's safe to say that we have the most fun together when we're out on the open road (hence all the mini-road trips to surrounding states on the weekends).

Last year we visited Oregon and Washington and decided we'd spend this vacation on the Northeast coast. We traveled through Boston, Cape Cod and Portland, Maine. While I'll admit I'm still partial to the incredible beauty of the Pacific Northwest, I certainly wasn't disappointed with what the northeast had to offer. Cape Cod was all that I'd imagined and more. My only wish is that we'd spent more time there. We saw historic landmarks, swelling tides and rolls stuffed with lobster. It was beautiful.
